National Recycling Week!

This National Recycling Week (22nd September - 28th September), why not make your visit to The Marlowes count for the planet? From empty perfume bottles and pre-loved clothes to old electronics and unused toys, many of your favourite stores are offering simple, convenient recycling schemes. It’s a great way to reduce waste, give items a second life, and support sustainability, all while enjoying a day out shopping. ♻🛍

The Perfume Shop

The Perfume Shop makes it simple to recycle your empty perfume bottles. Just drop off your bottles in-store and you’ll receive 15% off your next purchase. But the impact doesn’t stop there, for every bottle returned, a tree is planted, helping you make the world a little greener while enjoying your favourite fragrances. 🌸✨

Savers

Savers is helping customers reduce waste with in-store battery recycling drop-off points and a WEEE-compliant takeback service. When you buy a new electrical item, like an electric toothbrush, Savers will recycle your old one free of charge on a like-for-like basis. It’s a simple way to keep hazardous materials out of landfill and give valuable components a new life, just ask in-store for details next time you shop. 🔋⚡

Sports Direct

Upgrading your gear? Sports Direct will take care of your old electrical items. Under the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) regulations, when you buy a new electrical product, like a stopwatch or pedometer, you can return your old like-for-like item within 28 days, free of charge. They’ll make sure it’s recycled safely instead of ending up in landfill. 🙌🌍

New Look

New Look is making it easy to shop sustainably and support great causes. By donating your pre-loved clothing and accessories to your local Hospice UK shop, you’ll help fund vital care, keep items out of landfill, and receive 15% off your next New Look shop. And it’s not just fashion, if you’ve bought a new electrical item from New Look, you can also recycle your old one for free in-store within 28 days under our Electronic Take-Back Scheme. Together, these initiatives make it simple to refresh your wardrobe, upgrade your gadgets, and protect the planet all at once. 👗✨

Timpson’s

Timpson goes beyond key cutting and repairs by helping customers recycle old electrical items marked with the crossed-out wheelie bin symbol. They’ll also take gate and garage door remotes, ensuring these items are disposed of safely and responsibly rather than ending up in landfill. It’s another way Timpson makes everyday life a little more sustainable. 🏡💡
