Mental Health Awareness Week free programme of online activities
Connect with nature this Mental Health Awareness Week (10th – 16th May 2021)
Mental Health Awareness Week is an annual event that aims to raise awareness of mental health problems and the services available to support people. The year’s theme set by The Mental Health Foundation will be focusing on nature.
Hertfordshire, Mid Essex and West Essex IAPT Services will be providing local residents with a free programme of online activities during Mental Health Awareness Week. As part of the week we will be hosting a variety of free live webinars including: How to cope with stress on Wednesday 12th May (11am) or Relaxation and nature on Friday 14th May (1pm).
There will also be new self-help videos on Herts & Essex's APT website and dedicated YouTube channel including a short video that will provide information about mindfulness walks in nature at the start of the week where we will be encouraging residents and colleagues to get outdoors for a daily walk throughout the week. Providing a great source of physical exercise whilst also taking time out of the day to have a break and focus on the present in the natural beauty of the season.
