Autumn/Winter is a season of elegance with femininity being key. Choose from folkloric Russian blouses with billowing sleeves or crisp shirts with ruffle fronts worn with sophisticated wide-leg pants.
The dress is still an essential purchase, from the burnt orange party style with oversized bow, nude jersey pleated cocktail or the turquoise ruffled-hem version.
Volume and texture are still important; New Look’s silver grey jacquard “egg” shaped coat is a prime example, as is the bronze jacquard suit.
Faux fur is massive this season, with the ‘Ashes to Ashes’ bomber style, full-on glamour coat with bracelet sleeves and the “shearling”-look waistcoat.
Lingerie is fun, flirty and fabulous whether going for sets in burnished copper or deep jade with side ribbon ties, baby pink with delicate lace overlays or punk-esque red tartan. The black and white “humbug” cami sets add “sweetness” and, for the tom boys, there’s the grey rib pyjama vest with coordinating bed shorts.
Generation 915 fulfils every teenage girl’s dream, featuring a beaded flapper dress, soft cable-knit shrugs, lace printed dresses and cute denim mini skirts. Little girls will play dress up in pink or lilac party dresses, fairy printed tees and ditsy floral tiered skirts. Boys head for waistcoats and granddad shirts worn with slim-fit jeans, with a herringbone jacket for rough and tumble texture.
Baby wear features stripes and checks in the cutest of contrasting shades—a striped ruffle dress looks angelic with spotty pumps. Baby boys will look great in a combination of bomber jacket, hoodie and blue jeans.
