Volunteers Raise £350 for Mountbatten Lodge
02 September 2010
On Saturday 28th August, volunteers raised £350 for
Mountbatten Lodge by sitting in a bath tub full of beans at
Marlowes Shopping Centre! Loyal Marlowes Shopper, Lena Robilliard
sat in a bath of 450 tins of baked beans between 12noon and 4pm to
raise funds for Mountbatten Lodge, the Residential Care Home based
on Old Crabtree Lane in Hemel Hempstead.
Lena and the other volunteers are hoping to raise £12,000
throughout their appeal, to purchase a minibus for the residents of
Mountbatten Lodge Residential Care Home. The minibus will enable
the residents to have greater independence, especially those
residents who may be housebound or have mobility issues.
For more information or to donate to the appeal, contact
Marlowes Shopping Centre on 01442 413 818.
